WEATHER ALERT!!!!! Colorado IS IN FOR A BLAST OF MARCH

March 27th, 2007

Now we on the East Side of the Divide won’t get to much snow but the West of the DIVIDE, OH MAMMAAA. A HUGE Low Pressure system is going to smack Vail, Breck, San Juans with two to three feet of snow is my guess. THIS STORM is gonna kick butt for the snow pack which is in desperate times right now. Around Conifer, i don’t think more than a few inches can be expected and there is the possibility of some significant snow. I’ll keep you up to date on this latest big Weather Maker.

A Mild March, Who Knew LOL

March 27th, 2007

Anything Can Happen in March. These Marches are normally unsual but in all sense, it’s normal. At any given time you could have -10 degree weather or 80 degree weather. El-Nino and other forces have died down alot and not much is being thrown are way. Overall, i don’t see any major weather for the next week besides light rain to snow showers. Now big Low pressure system or nothing.

On a Side note— oh i better not say = )

I’m Bored, Boring Boring Weather

March 13th, 2007

I’m weather deprived right now. No weather insight, and i mean no weather. A 10 day model doesn’t even show the slightest hint of snowfall or any minor storm.

So my next question is, who Jinxed us? ooops, it’s only a 1/3 way into March, which is after all very unpredictable.

So who Jinxed us?

Who Jinxed Us?

A Winter Squall….

March 10th, 2007

As you know over the last few days the upper air mass has gotten warm. Well a weak cold front came through and the temperature difference caused a squall. The warm air rose over the cold air and in between, the air condensed into moisture. Also a lower level disturbance created a upslope flow.

So in other-words, a Low Pressure system right now is forming over colorado. Don’t expect this to last into the night since it’s moving rather quickly. Maybe 4 inches on grassy surfaces and one or so on the driveway. It’s a matter of wait and see.

Squall’s like these are just as hard to predict where a thunderstorm might form.

So it’s just a quick 3 or 4 hour rain storm. Except in snow form.

Ryfly

The Weather Conference is On For May or June

March 7th, 2007

So, i have said and told alot about Weather in Posts on Pinecam and this Blog. So, lately i’ve been thinking of making a cool neat slideshow and finding a Local place to present it such as Conifer High School or something sometime in May or sometime in Early June. Overall i will go over what i’ve said in the past but this time i’ll be able to show it and explain it and show it. The Presentation will go over about everything that relates to Colorado and the Worlds weather. From how wind is wind and What Makes a Low, Low? etc.

Now this is just preliminary but i plan on the presentation being around 7 or 6-ish. I plan on it only being an hour to 2 hours long.
The presentation will be full of graphics i created and should make understanding the weather easy…
I’ll keep you guys updated on any news and final dates etc.

Cheers,
Ryfly

Should i Hold a Weather Seminar Type Presentation sometime in May at CHS?
